Looks excellent, easy to use, precise.

It is a really cool app. Tells you how high sea level you are and gives you that airplane dial look.

Software this well crafted is too rare. This app provides me with a very sophisticated compass navigation platform coupled with geospherical calculations, the full hardware complements of the iPhone and online map integration. Wanting a real compass platform? Step up. Price is cheap for what you get here. Youll likely have some learning to do.

Very technical and accurate, lots of features that I have just begun to explore, but what I have seen up to now it has great potential, does eat my cell phone battery fast though !

Amazingly useful. For example I visited a hospital, I marked the room, the entrance, and where I parked. Just look around to see where I need to go.

Dont get lost with this app on a iPod Touch 5. If you do make sure you are constantly recalibrating it. Only works in gyrocompass mode on iPod Touch 5. Gyrocompass mode requires that you know the cardinal directions in your location or that you have relatively clear skies, in order to calibrate it. If you know the cardinal directions then you dont need a compass. If you dont have clear skies and dont know the cardinal directions in your location, cant back track, or youre in unfamiliar terrain, then sit down and stay put because youre lost and this app aint going to help you. Hahahaha! PLEASE BE AWARE GYROCOMPASS MODE LOSES CALIBRATION WITHIN SECONDS OR A MINUTE OR TWO AFTER THE LAST CALIBRATION. (And does so under normal movement and turns by the user/holder of the device.)

Works great, gorgeous, well designed. But lets be honest......youre never going to use this thing other than for a cool novelty. No one is wandering into the wilderness with nothing but an iPhone app to navigate them out.....and really no one is wandering into the wilderness period. Youre going to pull this thing out and show your hunting buddies how cool it is, or use it to waypoint your way from the bar to the urinal and back. Thats why its so cheap....I bought it just because it looks cool and makes me feel like I can go spelunking. If you claim this is an essential tool to navigate your off-road adventure or next wild camp outing, then you need to get a different hobby.

I’ve had this app, in its various updates, for several years now, and it still is leaving me shaking my head. It’s true that - as some reviewers have said - if you’re in the wilderness and your phone runs out of battery, you would do well to have an old-fashioned iron compass. But this is something far more sophisticated. AR combines bearings, distance measurement (mil scale), fine calibration by position of sun, moon, Polaris…or any of the 100 or so major stars that you can choose. Can be set for magnetic north, true north, “gyro” compass (based on your initialization, just as in aircraft gyro compass), integrates with GPS, stores maps you use once while connected to data. If this were a stand-alone device, it would come closest to some of the high-end TI scientific calculators, in terms of usability, versatility. This dev has done some other interesting apps, too, but while they are extremely detailed, this is the most accessible of his projects. But be sure to print out the manual, and (as he suggests) read it a bit at a time, not trying to internalize it at one sitting.

None of the buttons work on the right side i.e. The tracker button is supposed to open menu options, according to the manual. Tapping, pushing, holding down on the buttons do nothing. Cant change to new destination, or any other option listed in the manual. If these were working 5 stars. Right now I am stuck with one destination, and I dont even want to go there!

Screen goes black. When I back out of it, it goes right back to black screen. Has this worked for anyone running latest iOS on iPhone 6? How do I resolve issue?

A great compass - very accurate.

This is one of the most powerful apps in the App Store. I primarily use this tool as a U.S. Army Pathfinder to measure obstacles around helicopter landing sites. There are many useful tools in this app and they are very accurate. Also, technical support is fast and friendly. I had my questions answered within minutes of my initial email.

Seriously no other app comes close. Very accurate! Very attentive to bug fixes and updates.

Love this app

Amazing app. With my job in the US Army, this is definitely one of the most useful and convenient tools to use quick and efficiently. I have tested the apps accuracy against maps, lasers and other systems, and it is very accurate for what it is. No matter what units of measurement or area location methods you are used to, this has it, and can be converted it if needed.

This app is fantastic, but the hint icons for the sun, moon, and North Star need to be bigger. They are so small they are difficult to spot on the compass display. Other than that, this app fills a great need in the GPS world. The gyrocompass works great and is a wonderful feature when accuracy is critical.

Only minor critique would be that with the map on, it gets really twitchy when pointing due north (iPhone 5S). No idea why.
