Spyglass is an essential offline GPS app for outdoors and off-road navigation. Packed with tools it serves as binoculars, heads-up display, hi-tech compass with offline maps, gyrocompass, GPS receiver, waypoint tracker, speedometer, altimeter, Sun, Moon and star finder, gyro horizon, rangefinder, coordinate converter, sextant, inclinometer, angular calculator and camera. It saves your custom places and waypoints, navigates precisely to them later, shows them on maps and using real-time augmented reality displays detailed GPS info, measures distances, sizes, angles, and does a lot more.

A little bit tricky, but as you understand how to use it works pretty nice

I love this full featured comprehensive navigation app. Its for the educated (in navigating their way through this world) There is one more thing: The provided selection of colors, especially in map underlay mode is not sufficient. Thats certainly minor und thus I give this app a high five (stars).

A really good multifaceted app that seems to be quite accurate. Easy interface but needs to be brighter for sunny day use. Well worth the money.

Great app with nice features. The see through effect makes it a great compass for orienteering.

Cool app but missing a video feature, and photos are taken in zoomed out mode even when zoomed in. Fix that and its 5-stars for me!

Some bad moments

The app is inaccurate because the compass built into the iPhone 5 is inaccurate. One minute it shows the sun 15 degrees to the right of its actual position, the next minute its 10 degrees too far to the left. Same thing with bearings and waypoints. This being tested far from magnetic interference. Also the battery lasted less than an hour on a full charge and the phone got very hot since all of the sensors were activated at once. This would not be useful for anything beyond taking the dog for a walk. I will stick to my real compass/map. They show more information, more accurately, and in a shorter period of time than any cell phone ever will. This app could potentially send you off in the wrong direction and put you in a life threatening situation.

Garbage app. Too prone to interference . Shoddy interface. Calibration difficult. Readings jump all over the place. Inaccurate. Dont buy this app.

New update for app will not work due to freezing of opening screen. A waste of $$$. Refund!!!

This app is hard to use, and the camera function doesnt really gain you a lot. Try using a real navigation app like MotionX.

This app is the worst example of poor documentation. The company can not provide simple explanations of the basic uses of this app.

I really like the app but while using the MGRS to mark waypoint it uses the wrong grid zone identifier. I live and hike in southern Arizona along the Mexican border. The grid zone identifier is 12R but Spyglass displays 12N. This is a significant problem. My Garmin, Motion-X, military issued maps and USGS maps all use 12R. Please fix and I upgrade to 4 Stars. It is a battery hog.
